They're safe, uniquely styled, and are very reliable so long as you keep up with the regular maintenance. I own a 2001 S60 2.4T, and the premium gas isn't terribly expensive. It costs about $5.00 more per 20 gallon fill-up, compared to regular unleaded. Before you buy, find a good local mechanic who can look over the car for any problems.
