I am considering buying a 2001 Volvo s40 from a small dealership not associated with Volvo. How much do you think it would cost to get the car serviced and for parts if needed? My parents are considering this as my first car. I would take on the responsibility of maintenance since I’m in college and have a decent job. I’d just like to know before I get myself into something.

I have a 1996 volvo 850..I had to put in the radio code i receieved one from the dealership..and I got another code from the stereo box on the inside..i entered the one from the dealership, did not work..and the one from the stereo box has a “9″ in it and my number presets are only 1,2,3,4,5,6..Any Suggestions?!?!?!?

I have a 1990 Volvo that won’t start unless the battery is hooked up to an external power source. The strange thing is that the battery is new and it has a charge (It was hooked up to a battery charger all night and gives off a strong spark). The second that the jumper cables are removed the car stalls out. It has new spark plugs, a new ignition coil, new wires and a new battery. Any ideas?
