I have a 2001 Volvo V70 station wagon. I think my compressor clutch is bad. There are some for sale that have lifetime warranty. Does my compressor clutch that is stock have lifetime warranty? Or how do i check if my compressor clutch is bad? AC works for several mins and then stops blowing cold air.

A friend’s ancient Volvo 940 (non turbo) has developed a knocking sound accompanied by diminished power, a mild fuel smell and hard start up. To start, once ignited, the throttle has to be applied lightly to hold the revs up otherwise it stalls out. The on board diagnostics (an awkward pre-OBD II system) isn’t indicating a fault when there obviously is. Could it be a clogged fuel filter/injector?

I am no mechanic, but I am a fast learner and pretty handy when it comes to mechanical issues in cars and trucks. A trait somewhat forced on me by my first truck (’93 Ford Bronco). I now have a 1996 Volvo 850 base no turbo. Simply put is installing a turbocharger something i could do with a weekend and another set of useful hands?
