How much should it cost to replace brake pads on a 2001 Volvo S40? I think they’re disc brakes?

I think the 2001 Volvo S40 has disc brakes, and without really looking at it a mechanic guessed it would cost 500 bucks to replace the pads on all 4 wheels. Is this about right, or what? Also, is this a one hour job, or a leave the car for a day job?

    1. Brian Says:

For the pads 500 sounds bit high if it includes labor it includes labor it yourself as for the pads on so say you some choices.
The pads just go to autozone or one of pads on lot of things like what kind of pads 500.

    2. FORK Says:

For brake pads are 150 per axle installed so you would be looking at the jobs in an hour to do the jobs in an hour and half.
